FAQ
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE GAME
Q1: What are “Surprise” cards and how are they different?
A1: "Surprise" cards must be played immediately when drawn, before any other cards. Their effects are instantaneous and they can't be blocked or stopped. If you draw another "Surprise" card right after, the process continues until you get a non-surprise card.
Q2: What should I do if I get a “Surprise” card during the initial deal?
A2: If you get a “Surprise!” card during the initial deal, place it back into the deck and draw a new card. The deck should be reshuffled with the “Surprise!” cards included before starting.
Q3: How do I get more cards?
A3: At the beginning of your turn, draw 2 cards. If you 0 cards at the start of the turn, draw 3. Your hand should never exceed 5 cards. Resolve any "Surprise" cards and then move to Phase 2 where you can play or discard as many cards as you like.
Q4: What is the significance of the "Safe" rule?
A4: When a player collects all 4 cards of the same "Build" category, those cards become safe and cannot be stolen or changed in any way. It’s a strategic advantage!
Q5: Can I prevent someone from playing a Permanent card?
A5: Yes, you can stop a Permanent card from being played by using the "Check your privilege" card as soon as the Permanent card is played.
Q6: What does the “Woke” card do?
A6: "Woke" can be used defensively against an "Attack" card. When played, it redirects the attack back to the attacker, turning the tables!
Q7: How does the "Check your privilege" card work?
A7: This card allows any player to interrupt and steal a card that's being played. However, the "Check your privilege" card itself can also be intercepted by another "Check your privilege" card. It can't be used against "Surprise!" cards.
Q8: How does the game end?
A8: The game ends when the last card from the deck is drawn. After that, each player gets one more turn with their hand. All players then count their “Build” and “Permanent” cards to see their final score, and the player with the highest score wins.
